John Donne

John Donne (1572-1631) was an English priest, lawyer and poet. He is buried in St Paul's Cathedral in London.

Carr reported in his History of the QTP (1987) that he had published six impressions of this title; five, possibly, have been seen. Their order is hard to determine. The first two impressions are almost indistinguishable except that they have slightly different colours of their covers. The other impressions are hard to put in order, so when the sixth impression is identified, the order may change.

Carr assigned two ISBNs to the poetry of John Donne, both registered in August 1975: 0900847867 and 0900847638. A third ISBN from Carr's series of 100 numbers, 0900847999, was assigned to an impression of the poems of John Donne published in 2000 by the Quince Tree Press. That impression is not listed here as it was published after 1994, the year of Carr's death.
