Carr reported in the History of the QTP (1987) that he had published three editions of The Hunting of the Snark
by Lewis Carroll (1832-1898). Three editions have been seen: all have the same covers, but in different colours; they are printed on different coloured paper; and the second and third impressions have a letter and symbols added before the title of each poem. Carr described the edition as having six contemporary
illustrations, but there are only four within the printed text. The front cover is drawn by Carr; the rear cover is signed A.B. Frost, who was an American illustrator.

Notes: Inside the rear cover is different. The title is listed as no. 75 in the series, written by hand over the number 84, which is crossed out. The number 75 was also given to The Territory vs Flaherty. The number 84 was given to editions of William Cowper, Monica Poole and the Dictionary of English Queens. This edition of Carroll is printed on darker blue paper than the second impression. The list of titles inside the rear cover is printed in columns by type, but two titles have been added by hand, so were presumably published since the page was typeset. There is no date but it was printed on or just before 1987, when the History of the QTP was published (unless there is a fouth impression, not seen, of course).
