Rupert Brooke and Wilfred Owen
Rupert Brooke (1887-1915) and Wilfred Owen (1893-1918) both wrote poetry during the First World War, in which both died. This book was issued with the poems of each poet printed back-to-back. The book is designed to be flipped on the short edge through 180 degrees. The poems of Brooke are printed on 4 pages and those of Owen on 11 pages; the first page of Owen is a quotation: My subject is war, and the pity of war. The poetry is in the pity
