In November 1915 Margaret Gibbons (1887-1966) married the Irish journalist, poet and novelist Patrick MacGill (1889-1963) and used her married name for her romantic novels, which she also published with Herbert Jenkins. She also wrote short stories which were published in the USA in Love Story Magazine. The couple went to California in 1930 but were stranded there because of the Depression. She opened a drama school in Los Angeles and later, in Florida. They remained in the USA. To find her novels in Jisc you need to search under the name Margaret Gibbons although it does not appear in any book that I have seen.
Blampied designed the dust jacket of two of Margaret Gibbon's novels, this one and Hidden Fires.
