Ernest Huelin, Jersey
This book was in preparation before Jersey had been liberated from the Germans, which happened on May 9th 1945, the day after the war had ended in Europe. It was printed in London in a limited edition of 750 signed copies and issued in 1945, probably for the Christmas market. A trade edition soon followed. It is printed on good quality wove paper, which must have been in short supply immediately after the war, so the book was probably quite expensive, perhaps 25 shillings.
