Frederick Irving Anderson (1877-1947) was an American journalist and writer, mostly of short stories. This book contains a number of these short stories one of which is about an international female jewel thief named Sophie Lang. It was not published in the USA, so is uncommon. The story was made into a film in 1934, which led to two sequels.
This book was identified on a web site of facsimile dust jackets after the first bibliography had been published. The jacket design is unusual in that it is signed and dated by Blampied.
