Hampshire

Carr reported in his History of the QTP (1987) that he had issued three maps of Hampshire.

Carr lived at Byron Road, Thornhill in Bitterne, just outside Southampton, while teaching games and English from 1933-35 at his first school after graduating from Dudley Training College. There he played cricket for Curdridge C.C., which is noted on his first map next to a drawing of a cricket ball and a bat leaning against some stumps: Two wonderful seasons. Frank Stone, W.M., D.K., F.S., T.H., presumably the name or intials of men he played cricket with. Only the stumps and bat are drawn above the name Curdridge in the second edition of the map.
