Gidner's Brief Lives of the Frontier

This was issued in May 1985 as a companion volume to The Battle of Pollock's Crossing. It is a biographical dictionary of men and women who lived between 1810 and 1890 and between the Mississippi and the Mountains. Such as:

Stepladder Nell, an amiable hostess much favoured by short men, was last heard of in Huron, Dakota Territory.
