Forrest's Dictionary of Eponymous Places

This is the second edition of this dictionary compiled by A.J. Forrest, then living in Brandon, Suffolk. The first edition was published by Mr. Forrest himself in 1981, and is shown below. He also compiled Forrest's Dictionary of Eponymous Fictions in 1982 (ISBN 0950805408), which was also self-published.

In Carr's edition of Eponymous Places he wrote by hand: Mr Forrest lives in Dovercourt, Essex but comes from Suffolk. Carr published this title after 1987, the date of his History of the QTP, so it is not listed there.

Alex John Forrest was a journalist and author who was a special correspondent at the Nuremberg trials in 1946, according to the web site of his old school, Framlingham. He was the author of books on village cricket, Interpol and flint knapping.
