Grace [Louise] S[mith] Richmond

Grace S. Richmond (1866-1959) was an American novelist. She was born Grace Louise Smith in Rhode Island and in 1887 married Dr. Nelson Guernsey Richmond. She wrote more than 20, mostly romantic, novels. Blampied designed the jacket of all seven novels listed on the rear cover of the lower jacket, below. The size of the illustration was reduced in later editions so that the signature could no long be seen, as shown below. Many of Grace Richmond's novels can be read online.
