John Buchan

John Buchan (1875-1940) was an Scottish novelist, historian and politician who served as Governor General of Canada from 1935 until his death in 1940 from a stroke aged 64 years. John Buchan was Homerector of Thomas Nelson and Sons when Blampied was working for them between 1917 and 1922. The Dancing Floor is the third of five novels featuring a character named Edward Leithen, a barrister and politician. The book is available from Project Gutenberg of Australia.
