Grace [Louise] S[mith] Richmond

Grace S. Richmond (1866-1959) was an American novelist. She was born Grace Louise Smith in Rhode Island and in 1887 married Dr. Nelson Guernsey Richmond. She wrote more than 20, mostly romantic, novels. Blampied designed the jacket of all the novels listed on the rear cover of the jacket, below. The size of the illustration was reduced in later editions so that the signature was cut off and could no long be seen. Many of Grace Richmond's novels can be read online.
