The text of: The Treasure Seekers, The Wouldbegoods, The New Treasure Seekers
This is one of two collected editions of novels which were first issued by T. Fisher Unwin with dust jackets designed by Blampied and which usually used the same illustration as a frontispiece. A U.K. edition published by Ernest Benn is listed by Jisc, but it has not been seen. The book was issued in the U.S.A. under the title The Bastable Children by Coward-McCann Inc of New York using pages printed in Great Britian which used the frontispieces as internal illustrations, only one printed in colour.
E. Nesbit (1858-1924) was a writer and socialist. In 1880 she married Herbert Bland and with him was one of the founder members of The Fabian Society. Bland died in 1914 and she married in 1917 Thomas Terry Tucker.
