Children of Transgression

G[eorgia] Vere Tyler

Georgia Vere Tyler, née Powell (c1858-1930) was an American novelist and screenwriter. She was the daughter-in-law of the 10th US President, John Tyler. This book was published in T. Fisher Unwin's First Novel Library but Tyler had written other novels before this. This title was first published in the USA by Henry Holt and Company in 1922. It is described as a powerful new handling of the Scarlet Letter dealing with the double moral standard for men and women. The dust jacket is known only from the entry for the book at the National Library of Wales which states in the notes Dj by Blam. I hope to see the book when the Library is open.
