Notes: This is the second of two pieces of sheet music illustrated by Blampied, published two years after the first, so very early in Blampied's career as an illustrator. His future brother-in-law, Salomon van Abbé, also provided designs for sheet music published by Ascherberg. His future wife, Marianne van Abbé, was working as their agent at this time. They married in August 1914, two days after the start of the First World War.
Henry Coates (1880-1963) was a minor composer and biographer of Chopin and Palestrina (Dent, 1938) who may be confused with Albert Henry Coates (1882-1953), who was also a composer and a conductor.
