Mabel St Oswald, first plate
In 1892 Mabel Susan Forbes (1871-1919) married Rowland Winn (1857-1919), 2nd Baron St Oswald. She had a son. As they both died in the same year, she was 48 y, he was 62 y, I wonder if they died of Spanish flu?
The house in the bookplate is Nostell Priory, now owned by the National Trust, where the Winn's family posessions are on display including Chippendale furniture that was made for the house. She had another bookplate designed for her in 1910.
