Edward M. House

Edward Mandell House was an American diplomat, politician and presidential advisor. The star at the top represents Texas, his home state. The description in Jones (1978) states that the word 'Texas' is inscribed at the top, but is not present in this proof nor in the proof at the University of Delaware.
