Mary Harmsworth
This is the bookplate of Geraldine Mary Maffatt (1832-1925) who in 1864 married Alfred Harmsworth, a British barrister. She gave birth to 14 children, three of whom died in infancy. Amongst the children who survived were: Alfred Harmsworth, 1st Viscount Northcliffe; Harold Harmsworth, 1st Viscount Rothermere; Cecil Harmsworth, 1st Baron Harmsworth; Sir Leicester Harmsworth; and Sir Hildebrand Harmsworth.
