Doris Davies Cooke
In 1894 Doris Donaldson-Hudson (1872-1935) married Philip Tatton Davies-Cooke (1863-1946), who also has a WPB bookplate, as does her sister, Violet Donaldson-Hudson. Doris had three children, all boys, over a period of 20 years between 1896 and 1916. Doris gave birth to her youngest son when she was 44. He was a Flying Officer in the RAF and died in 1940 during the Battle of Britain aged 23.
