Royal Naval & Military Bazaar, June 1900

This Bazaar was held from 19-21 June 1900 at Olympia in London in aid of H.R.H Princess Christian's Homes for Disabled Soldiers and Sailors. Princess Helena was the fifth child of Queen Victoria and the wife of Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein. The home in Knaphill, Woking closed in 1999 and is now a private care home. This plate may have been donated by Bumpus as it has the publisher's name in the lower left margin and was probably a way of advertising to the aristocracy.
